So ive been struggling and racking my brain trying to figure out why my disk usage is high to a "system process" I have tried everything I discovered on the web. These include disabling MSI, disabling windows search, disabling connected user tracking a. DiagTrack , also looked into registry errors, and i can not figure it out. Unfortunely the only usage on my disk was under the the "system" proccess and I am unable to do any deeper research. I have ran various malware detection softwares and did come up with one piece of adware.
After I removed the adware my sistem ran fine for about 10 minutes then went high disk on the "System" process. I have Windows 10 bit Home installed. Taxing my machine seems to impove its performance i.

You have used the Resource Monitor to check what exactly is using the resources? Type resmon. You can pick and area and set the columns to show the most usage for that column. You can use the check boxes on the left to filter for one process. I have the same problem, and in the Resource Monitor I can see all kinds of stuff when selecting the System process in disk usage: search indexer, cortana,. You are not showing the info we need to see.
If you have the System process highlighted, if that is the correct one, there should be a checkmark in the little box on the left to filter for just that process.
